arana-eom-10-17-16At its 6 p.m. meeting tonight, the Middle Township Committee will honor Krystel Arana as the October 2016 Employee of the Month. Arana began her career with Middle Township in October 2014, and currently serves as the Township’s Deputy Clerk and Alternate Deputy Registrar.

“Krystel is a wonderful asset to Middle Township,” said Mayor Michael Clark. “She is always professional, courteous and helpful not only to members of the public, but also to her co-workers. Krystel is also always eager to expand her skills to better serve the Township. During a recent time of transition in the Clerk’s Office, Krystel was instrumental in making that transition seamless. We are very pleased that she is part of the Middle Township team.”

As Mayor Clark indicated, Arana loves learning. She states that her favorite part of her job is gaining an understanding the vast amount of information that her positions as Deputy Clerk and Alternate Deputy Registrar provide. Although she is a resident of Lower Township, Arana states that she has come to love Middle Township and is grateful to be a part of all the wonderful things going on in the township.  In her spare time, she likes to try new recipes, shop, watch horror movies and read.

Said Township Clerk Kimberly Krauss, “Krystel has been instrumental in not only the training of our new staff, but by helping keep the boat ‘afloat’ while we revamp and revisit all the of services that our office provides to local taxpayers, as well county- and statewide customers through our Vital Statistics Department.”

The Middle Township Employee of the Month program was initiated by the Township Committee to honor employees who exemplify the Township’s commitment to better delivery of services and going the extra mile for residents. The program culminates with the Darius Graham Employee of the Year honor that is named after one of the Township’s most beloved employees in its history.

Nominations for the Employee of the Month Program are available inside Middle Township hall at three locations: Human Resources and Training Department, Administration Department, and on the bulletin board. Residents from the Township who have had a very positive interaction with any Middle Township employee may pick up the one-page nomination form and fill it out in the employee’s behalf. Each month a Township employee will be selected; the winning nominee will receive a certificate at a future Township Committee meeting along with a photograph posted on the bulletin board.
