cornwell-eom-9-19-16At its 6 p.m. meeting tonight, the Middle Township Committee will honor Pat Cornwell as the September 2016 Employee of the Month. Cornwell began her career with Middle Township in June 2014, and she currently serves as Records Clerk for the Police Department.

“Pat is a wonderful presence in the Police Records Department,” said Mayor Michael Clark. “Her kindness and professionalism always shine through, not only in her interactions with the public, but also in the courtesy she extends to her co-workers. She is always smiling! We are very pleased that she is part of the Middle Township team.”

A resident of Erma, Cornwell has been married for 39 years. She has three children and five grandchildren. In her spare time, she likes to ride her bike, play piano, and take pictures. Not surprisingly, Cornwell states that laughing with her co-workers throughout the day is her favorite part of her job.

Chief Christopher Leusner stated, “Pat is a dedicated and valued employee who always comes to work with a smile and provides excellent customer service.  I congratulate Pat and her family on this well-deserved recognition.”

The Middle Township Employee of the Month program was initiated by the Township Committee to honor employees who exemplify the Township’s commitment to better delivery of services and going the extra mile for residents. The program culminates with the Darius Graham Employee of the Year honor that is named after one of the Township’s most beloved employees in its history.

Nominations for the Employee of the Month Program are available inside Middle Township hall at three locations: Human Resources and Training Department, Administration Department, and on the bulletin board. Residents from the Township who have had a very positive interaction with any Middle Township employee may pick up the one-page nomination form and fill it out in the employee’s behalf. Each month a Township employee will be selected; the winning nominee will receive a certificate at a future Township Committee meeting along with a photograph posted on the bulletin board.
