Middle Township Mayor Michael Clark announced that Middle Township has scheduled a Free Rabies Clinic for September 29th, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Middle Township Public Works located at 400 West Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. This clinic is for cats and dogs and Dog licenses will also be available. License forms may be printed in advance from the Middle Township website at www.middletownship.com. If your dog needs a license and is current for its rabies vaccination please visit www.middletownship.com or call (609) 465-8732 for information on obtaining a license.
All dogs over six months of age must be licensed by January 31st of each year.  A rabies vaccination, that is current until November 1st of the licensing year, is required to receive a license.  A dog that wears a proper license can be easily returned, free of charge, to its owner if it is found.  Recovering a lost dog at the shelter can cost the pet owner at least $45.00 while a 1 year license costs under $12.00 and a 3 year license costs less than $36.00.

The rabies clinic occurs as a dog census continues throughout the Township by the Middle Township Office of Animal Control. Currently there are a number of residents who have not yet licensed their dogs. Summonses are being issued for all unlicensed dogs. This clinic will be the last opportunity in 2018 to receive a free rabies vaccination for your dog or cat.
