FULL TIME KEYBOARDING CLERK – Township of Middle, Cape May County, NJ.
The Township of Middle is now seeking a responsible, enthusiastic individual to work as a clerical staff member for the Office of Construction and Zoning/Planning. Due to significant interaction with administration, staff and taxpayers, applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and computer skills. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software is a must. Superior multi-tasking skills and accuracy/attention to detail under time constraints required.
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to: field and office work in enforcing residential and commercial compliance with various municipal ordinances, preparation of reports and agendas for Zoning and Planning Boards, site plan reviews, review of subdivisions, provides technical assistance in the issuance of construction permits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and model codes; aids the general public by providing information of a technical nature concerning the requirements and standards relating to the Uniform Construction Code as well as other tasks as assigned.
Work experience or knowledge of the provisions of New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law or Uniform Construction Code as it relates to the activities of the office are preferred. Applicants must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter, with minimal oversight. Must have desire to further knowledge in a very specialized field.
