Notice of Temporary Lane Closure of Avalon Boulevard (C.R. 601)
Beginning next week, there will be a temporary lane closure along portions of Avalon Boulevard (C.R. 601) as construction crews perform permanent patching of deck spalls located along the Graven’s, Ingram’s and Leonard’s Thorofare bridges. The lane closures will occur on May 26th, May 27th, May 28th, June 1st and June 2nd. The anticipated hours of closure will be from 8:00am to 4:00pm on those days, except on Tuesday May 26th when the closure will not begin until 9:00am. The both lanes of the roadway will be reopened at the end of the day.
During the closure, traffic will alternate around the construction zone using flaggers. The road will not be closed, however, motorists should expect delays. Motorist are urged to drive with caution through the construction zone for their safety and the safety of the workers.
