Middle Township seeks volunteers for board positions

Township residents who know and love their community have an opportunity to apply for volunteer board positions.

Volunteers will serve on boards that advance the Township’s vision of being a uniquely desirable place to live, work and visit. Space is available on the following boards:

Council on the Arts: Join the mission of expanding the arts in Middle Township.

Environmental Commission: Members support the protection, development and use of natural resources, including water resources and solid waste.

Economic Development Council: The group works toward economic prosperity, and the preservation of the Township’s character, history, culture, quality of life and natural resources.

Rent Leveling Board: The board presides over hearings and the application process from landlords seeking additional rental income, and from tenants requesting reduced rental income. The board also has discretion to raise low rents in a mobile home park to bring them in line with the majority of rents.

Veterans Advisory Board: Members advise the Township Committee on programs and initiatives available to improve the quality of life for veterans in the community. The board works with local veteran and military groups to organize activities and ceremonies, particularly for Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
