On Wednesday, December 2^nd and Thursday, December 3^rd from 7am to 4:30pm Mechanic Street will be closed to traffic for paving from the intersection of Dias Creek Road/Goshen Road down to Hamann Road.  Please take alternative routes.

Notice of Temporary Lane Restrictions for 96^th Street Bridge (C.R. 657)

Borough of Stone Harbor and Township of Middle

      The 96^th Street Bridge along Stone Harbor Boulevard leading into the Borough of Stone Harbor has  been undergoing emergency repairs to the bascule span (movable span) during nighttime hours. Work has progressed  Mondays thru Thursdays with a lane restriction during the fall.  However, due to the nature of the work and impending nighttime temperatures, the emergency work will proceed during the hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday beginning on November 30^th.

The daytime work will require that one lane of the bridge be temporarily closed during these work hours.  The contractor will maintain eastbound and west bound traffic using flaggers and alternating traffic patterns. Motorists will always be able to cross the bridge but there may be slight delays.  The flaggers will attempt to keep traffic backups to a minimum. Emergency vehicles will be given priority if they need to cross the bridge. Motorists are advised to allow for a little more time to cross the bridge and to use caution for the safety of the workers. All work is limited to Mondays thru Thursdays and no work will occur on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Work is expected to be completed by December 23, 2020.

Middle Township Trash and Recycling Schedule for the 2020 Thanksgiving Holiday Week will be as follows:

Monday – normal schedule

Tuesday – normal schedule

Wednesday – normal schedule

Thursday will be picked up on Friday

Friday will be picked up on Saturday

Due to the recent changes in restrictions on gatherings we sadly will be cancelling the Christmas Parade this year.
